Limestone, sandstone, shale, and chert; Pennsylvanian marine epicontinental-basin deposits; southeastern Idaho

Pennsylvanian beds; lowermost portion of the southern Idaho sequence (PPNs).
StateIdaho
NameLimestone, sandstone, shale, and chert; Pennsylvanian marine epicontinental-basin deposits; southeastern Idaho
Geologic agePennsylvanian
Original map labelPNs
CommentsPolygon patterns on state map were matched to those on Pocatello 1o x 2o quad to get list of map units and lithologies included in PNs. Stratigraphic succession of map units and lithologies were matched to stratigraphic correlation chart of ref ID029 to get stratigraphic unit names. GEOLEX was used for descriptions of stratigraphic units.
