Basalt, clay, and pumice; Late Pleistocene basalt flows, volcaniclastic debris, and ponded sediments of subunit 4b; Snake River Plain;

Upper Pleistocene Snake Plain basaltic lava flows, unit 4.
StateIdaho
NameBasalt, clay, and pumice; Late Pleistocene basalt flows, volcaniclastic debris, and ponded sediments of subunit 4b; Snake River Plain;
Geologic ageLate Pleistocene
Original map labelQpu4b; Ti
CommentsFormational names are mostly from measured sections of intra-canyon flows. Of larger areal distribution are coalescent unnamed low shields, tube flows, ponded flows, fissure flows, and small cinder cones. Qpu4b includes the basaltic unit Qb2 of the Idaho Falls, Hailey, Pocatello 1o x 2o quads, Qb2 and Qwg (Wendell Grade Basalt) of the Twin Falls 1o x 2o quad , and unspecified parts of the Snake River Group, undivided (unit_references).
