Intrusive rocks

INTRUSIVE ROCKS-Aphanitic, porphyritic, and coarsely granular rocks ranging in composition from diorite to granite. Clark County
StateNevada
NameIntrusive rocks
Geologic ageLate Cretaceous to Middle Miocene
Original map labelTi
CommentsThis part of the map is based on 45-yr old mapping. The polygons include several late Cretaceous muscovite-bearing granites, as well as Tertiary plutons that range from granite to diorite. The topology of the polygons is not amenable to solution of this problem.
Primary rock typealkali-granite (alaskite)
Secondary rock typegranite
