Location and accuracy This unnamed mineral occurrence (Elliott and Koch, 1981, p. 7, loc. no. 5) is at sea-level on the north shore of Bradfield Canal, in Section 24, about 2.6 miles northwest of the mouth of Tom Creek. The location is accurate to within about 500 feet.

Geologic setting

Geologic description

The country rocks in the general area of this occurrence are Mesozoic or Paleozoic pelitic schist and paragneiss and subordinate amphibolite and marble (Koch, 1996, 1997). The occurrence consists of rusty-weathering quartzo-feldspathic schist containing disseminated chalcopyrite.
