Location and accuracy This prospect is at an elevation of about 700 feet on Sugar Loaf Creek, approximately 1.5 miles above its mouth. The map site is in section 21, T. 4 N., R. 12 W., of the Kateel River Meridian. Cobb, 1972 (MF-389), location 24.

Geologic description

Stream and bench gravels at this site have been prospected or mined for gold. Concentrate samples collected from the gravels contained thorium minerals (Gault and others, 1953).
