|Location and accuracy||This site is located approximately 5 1/4 miles south-southeast of Chandalar in a saddle between peaks 4970 and 4607 (SW1/4 sec. 16, T. 30 N., R. 4 W., of the Fairbanks Meridian). This site corresponds to unnamed loc. 81 in DeYoung (1978). The location is accurate within a 1/2-mile radius.|
Geologic descriptionBrosgé and Reiser (1972, p. 16) noted that gold occurs in quartz veins at this location. The gold occurrence is a sample of a quartz vein containing anomalous gold values in the range of 0.04 to 0.079 ppm Au. The vein sample was taken from an area mapped as Devonian quartz-muscovite schist (Brosgé and Reiser, 1964). No other information is available.

|Mineral deposit model||Low-sulfide Au-quartz veins? (Cox and Singer, 1986; model 36a?).|
|Mineral deposit model number||36a?|
|Age of mineralization||Middle Cretaceous(?) based on arguments by Dillon (1982) that the age of emplacement of the gold-bearing quartz veins of the Koyukuk and Chandalar districts was between the Neocomian metamorphism of the Devonian host rocks and their erosional unroofing and cooling in Albian time.|
