Geologic descriptionPhosphatic rocks are confined to the middle and upper parts of the black chert and shale member of the Alapah Limestone. Phosphate occurs in a section of interbedded oolitic shales and pisolitic phosphorites containing oblate pellets. The phosphatic rocks continue for a minimum of 4.2 km along strike. | |
