Location and accuracy This occurrence is at an elevation of about 1,650 feet, approximately 4 miles northwest of Sheep Mountain. The map site is in section 11, T. 34 N., R. 19 W., of the Kateel River Meridian.

Geologic setting

Geologic description

The Wulik Knot occurrence consists of malachite and azurite that coat fractures in a small outcrop of gray chert surrounded by maroon shale of Mesozoic age (C.F. Mayfield, written communication, 1979).
