|Location and accuracy||This placer prospect is at an elevation of approximately 500 feet on the east side of Port Frederick, 0.3 mile east of Hoonah Point. It is in the SW1/4 section 21, T. 43 S., R. 61 E. of the Copper River Meridian. The location is accurate within 1/2 mile.|

The country rocks in the general area are mainly Silurian, clastic sedimentary rocks, Silurian to Upper Devonian limestone, Upper Devonian andesitic and basaltic volcanic rocks, and Mississippian limestone (Loney and others, 1975; Gehrels and Berg, 1994).
