Location and accuracy | SE1/4SW1/4 sec. 24, T. 3 N., R. 1 E., of the Fairbanks Meridian. The Marshall Dome prospect is a zone of anomalous gold in soils in an area just west of the headwaters of Cleary Creek on the west side of the Steese Highway. |
Geologic descriptionSoil samples at the Marshall Dome prospect contained up to 2030 ppb gold (0.06 ounces of gold per ton). Altered intrusive rocks have been noted on the property. A sample of quartz-veined, altered intrusive rock picked up during soil sampling assayed 1760 ppb gold (0.05 ounces of gold per ton) (Silverado Mines press release, October 12, 1995). | |
