Location and accuracy | This occurrence is located at the head of Porcupine Creek, 0.3 miles southeast of Peak 4694 at an elevation of about 3,800 feet. It is shown as number 132 by Still and others (1984). |
Geologic descriptionThe site of an isolated sample of chalcopyrite-bearing quartz float with malachite that contained 49 ppm gold, 74 ppm silver, and 1% copper. (Still and others, 1984). It occurs within a Cretaceous diorite (MacKevett and others, 1974) but may be associated with a small pendant within the diorite, like SK053 or SK052. | |
