Location and accuracy	This occurrence is at an elevation of about 3200 feet on a ridge 2.5 miles west of Walker Lake. It is in the E1/2 of sec. 7, T. 20 N., R. 20 E., of the Kateel River Meridian. Location is accurate to within 2000 ft. The site corresponds to locality 70 of Grybeck and Nelson (1981).

Geologic setting

Geologic description This occurrence consists of rubble in an area at least 600 square feet in diameter. About 25-50% of the rubble consists of large, irregular masses of botryoidal goethite that replaces or fills open spaces in marble (Grybeck and Nelson, 1981).
