|Location and accuracy||The occurrence is located on the southwest shore of Hobo Bay in the SE1/4 section 17, T. 10 N., R. 7 E., of the Seward Meridian. This is location 123 of Tysdal (1978 [MF-880-A]) and location S-150 of Jansons and others (1984). This location is accurate to within a quarter of a mile.|
Geologic descriptionThis occurrence consists of a northeast-striking auriferous quartz vein (Jansons and others, 1984) in sedimentary strata of the Valdez Group of Late Cretaceous age (Nelson and others, 1985).
