|Location and accuracy||This occurrence is located in section 1, T. 6 N., R. 4 W., of the Seward Meridian. The map site is near the head of the Chickaloon River, about a half-mile from Swan Lake. This is location S-261 of Jansons and others (1984). The location is accurate within one mile.|
Geologic descriptionThe deposit at this occurrence consists of small molybdenite flakes in quartz veins (ledges) (Martin, 1915). The host rock is sedimentary strata of the Valdez Group of Late Cretaceous age (Nelson and others, 1985). No other data has been reported.
