Geologic description

The occurrence is a shear zone several yards wide in gabbro; one sample contained 1,500 ppm chromium and 300 ppm nickel (Tysdal, 1978 [MF-880-A]). Nelson and others (1985) mapped the gabbro as part of the Resurrection Bay Ophiolite sequence of Late Cretaceous age. No other information is available in the literature.
