Location and accuracy This placer prospect is 1/2 mile east of Big Lake. It is on the outlet stream that drains to Watana Creek, about 0.4 mile east of the center of sec. 30, T. 22 S., R. 3 W., Fairbanks Meridian. The location is accurate to within 1/2 mile.

Geologic setting

Geologic description

Alluvial deposits at this prospect are underlain by Lower Cretaceous (?) argillite and lithic graywacke (Csejtey and others, 1978). Stream sediment samples contain up to 0.6 part per million silver and 0.8 ppm gold (Kurtak and others, 1992). Two placer claims were staked in 1977.
