Geologic descriptionThis site repesents gold placer claims located on Pass Creek as indicated on U.S. Bureau of Mines maps in 1973. Pass Creek drains an area consisting of sedimentary rocks of the Jurassic Shelikof and Kialagvik Formations (Detterman and others, 1987).
