Location and accuracy This prospect is located at the mouth of Mendeltna Creek on the northwest shore of Tazlina Lake. It is in the SE1/4 of section 12, T. 2 N., R. 7 W., of the Copper River Meridian and is probably accurately located. This prospect is locality 116 of Winkler and others (1981 [OFR 80-892-B]).

Placer claims were staked at this locality and current from 1971 to 1974 (U.S. Bureau of Mines, 1980; Winkler and others, 1981 [OFR 80-892-B]). They are assumed to have been staked for placer gold.
