|Location and accuracy||This prospect is on the north side of the Kuskulana River about eight-tenths of a mile northeast of its mouth on the Chitina River. It is at an elevation of about 800 feet near the center of the east boundary of section 32, T. 4 S., R. 7 E., of the Copper River Meridian. This prospect is probably located to within one-half mile. It is locality 107 of Winkler and others (1981 [OFR 80-892-B]).|
Geologic descriptionLode claims were staked and kept active from 1969 to 1979 on lead and silver deposits at this location (U.S. Bureau of Mines, 1980; Winkler and others, 1981 [OFR 80-892-B]). The prospect is in metavolcanic rocks of the Paleozoic Skolai Group (Winkler and others, 1981 [OFR 80-892-A]).
