Geologic descriptionThis occurrence consists of magnetite, sphalerite, and pyrite in dark green tactite at the contact of a granite pluton (Dillon and others, 1981 [AOF 133B]). A grab sample from an outcrop of the tactite contains 500 ppm zinc and more than 20% iron. The rocks in the area are mainly Proterozoic(?) granitic rocks, but there is none at this occurrence. | |
