Chemistry and geologic information for historic ore and ore-related rock samples from mineral deposits in the United States and from archetypal deposits from 27 other countries. Data are provide in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and CSV formats.

This data release consists of point data digitized from structural geologic orientation symbols consisting of mostly foliations and lineations from twenty-three geologic maps published between 1964 and 2009, primarily 7.5-minute, 1:24,000 scale quadrangles. Data are provided in Esri file geodatabase, shapefile, CSV, and Microsoft Excel formats.
