MRDS describes metallic and nonmetallic mineral resources throughout the world. Included are deposit name, location, commodity, deposit description, geologic characteristics, production, reserves, resources, and references.

Deposits, prospects, and permissive tracts for porphyry and sediment-hosted copper resources worldwide, with estimates of undiscovered copper resources.

For each area in which this type of deposit may occur, we provide the main characteristics of the area, classification of known deposits by subtype, and a rank indicating the potential of the area to contain undiscovered resources.

Information on titanium-vanadium deposits hosted in mafic-ultramafic layered intrusions and massif anorthosite intrusions from around the world. Includes only deposits with reported grade and tonnage information. Data are provided in CSV and shapefile formats.

Geochemical data for stratigraphic rock sequences containing dominantly fine-grained clastic rocks with appreciable organic carbon (above 0.5 weight percent), usually known as 'black shale facies examples' but including all fine-grained clastic rocks such as argillite, mudstone, claystone, and their low-medium grade metamorphic equivalents. Data are provide in Microsoft Access and tab-delimited text formats.

Sulfur isotope determinations (34S/32S ratios) for sulfur-bearing minerals collected from epithermal veins in this area and from metasedimentary rocks that host the Black Angel zinc-lead-silver deposit. Samples were collected by cooperators as parts of larger ore genesis studies. Data are provided in CSV format.
