Airborne electromagnetic and magnetic survey data, northeast Wisconsin

Airborne electromagnetic and magnetic survey data collected during 2021 over 3,170 line kilometers with nominal flight height of 30 - 40 m above terrain and nominal line spacing of 0.5 miles. Data are provided in Geosoft database, Geosoft grid, GeoTiff, Geosoft map, and netCDF formats.

Info
Airborne magnetic survey, Iron Mountain-Chatham region, central Upper Peninsula, Michigan, 2018

Digital flight line data for a high-resolution magnetic survey with line spacing 150 meters and nominal terrain clearance 80 meters over most of the study area. Data are provided as Geosoft databases and grids. Data over two small areas (less than 1 sq km combined) were redacted because those areas include multiple tracts of Native American lands.

Info
Airborne Magnetic Survey, Michigan Upper Peninsula Area, 2008

Digital flight line data from a high-resolution magnetic survey over this area. The survey was flown in 2008 by Aeroquest under contract to Kennecott Eagle Minerals Company using a fixed-wing aircraft with a magnetometer mounted in a tail stinger. The USGS has obtained this 66,074 line km subset of the survey dataset for public release. Data are provided in Geosoft database and CSV formats.

Info
Airborne Magnetic Total-Field Survey, Iron Mountain-Menominee Region, Michigan-Wisconsin, USA

Airborne magnetic survey data collected from this area to better understand the lithology and structure of exposed and concealed Precambrian rocks in support of mineral resource investigations. Results are provided in Geosoft database, grid exchange format, GeoTiff, and CSV.

Info
Density and magnetic susceptibility measurements on Precambrian rocks in the Iron Mountain-Menominee region, Michigan-Wisconsin

Rock physical property measurements to help understand causative sources of gravity and magnetic survey anomalies in this area. Data are provided in CSV format.

Info
Exposed Precambrian Bedrock in Part of Dickinson County, Michigan, and Marinette and Florence Counties, Wisconsin

Rock outcrop locations taken from geologic maps published from the 1940s until the late 1990s. Bedrock exposure locations were routinely recorded to provide both an indication of where direct observations were made, and as a guide for future investigations to expedite location of observable rock exposures. Data are provided in shapefile format.

Info
Magnetotelluric data from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Upper Michigan, 2015-2019

Magnetotelluric stations collected from 2015-2019 across parts of Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to support regional investigations into the geologic and tectonic framework of the area and to support mineral resource investigations.

Info
Principal facts of regional gravity data in the central Upper Peninsula, Michigan, and northeastern Wisconsin

Gravity data collected from 2016 through 2019 to assist in mapping surface and subsurface geology in this area. Data are provided in CSV and shapefile formats.

Info
Reanalysis of Additional Selected Archived NURE-HSSR Sediment Samples from Idaho and Montana

Reanalysis of existing samples provides more precise and accurate geochemical data because newer methods can be used. Stable isotopes of lead were also included. Data are provided in Microsoft Access, CSV, and shapefile formats.
