Basis for focus area Mining districts and mineral occurrences; includes polymetallic veins and contact-metamorphic deposits in Baker County in eastern Oregon and adjacent areas in the Seven Devils Mining District of western Idaho.

Production Utah mine (Oregon) produced Mn in 1917 and 1953 (31 to 37% Mn).
