Information leading to the delineation of this focus area

Basis for focus area Focus area includes recent porphyry Cu discovery at Majuba Hill in the northern part of the focus area. Polymetallic (Cu-Ag-Au-Pb-Sn) vein and breccia deposits mostly in Oligocene rhyolite, a mined Ag(-Sn) deposit in Oligocene rhyolite, elevated Ag and Sn concentrations in rhyolite (presumably Oligocene) and cassiterite in Au placers. Tin production (cassiterite) from mines on Majuba Hill; placer cassiterite in Rosebud Canyon and Rabbit Hole, north and northwest of Majuba Hill; stannite in drill hole cuttings from the Trinity Silver mine; elevated Sn concentrations in altered rhyolite, Trinity Silver mine and Trinity Range south of Majuba Hill.

Production Majuba Hill area mines (1906-1951): total production as compiled was approximately 2.8 million lbs Cu, 184,000 oz Ag, 885,800 lbs Pb, 106,000 lbs Zn, and 21,000 lbs Sn (Stevens, 1971).

Evidence from mineral occurrences MRDS.
Geochemical evidence A possible exploration target around Majuba Hill was first identified by high Au and Cu values in soil samples. Supergene copper zone. Drilling identified well- developed potassic, phyllic, and propylitic alteration at depth.
Geophysical evidence Porphyry target identified by soil geochemistry zones coincident with drone magnetic survey anomalies (Bam Bam Resources Corp., 2021).
Evidence from other sources Unknown.
Comments Drilling at Majuba Hill porphyry copper project identified potassically altered granodiorite with stockwork veins at 3,467 ft (Majuba Hill Copper, 2022). Porphyry target is located 1,700 m east of a known copper oxide deposit.
