Buckingham Complex - Quarz diorite

Light-gray, medium- to coarse-grained, biotite-quartz diorite; migmatitic zones, kyanite, and sillimanite occur adjacent to contacts in country rocks. Mineralogy: quartz + plagioclase + potassium feldspar + biotite + epidote + allanite + muscovite + magnetite. This lithology cuts across older units in the Buckingham complex.
