Dune Sand

Sand, quartz, white to light-yellowish-gray, fine to medium, well-sorted, massive to cross-laminated. Comprises deposits of large, irregular dune fields on Nottoway River terraces and smaller areas of dunes in Surry County uplands. Thickness is 0 to 15 feet.
