FAN IS SEMICIRCULAR, WITH BASAL RADIUS OF 6000 FT AND 700 FT THICK, GIVING 500 MILLION TONS OF MATERIAL WITH AN AVERAGE OF 10% MAGNETIC FE (USGS OF 132, P. 35, 36). USBM OF 84-21, P. 5 ESTIMATES 989,761,000 TONS OF MATERIAL AT 10.8% SOLUBLE FE.
