Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = Placer gold and cinnabar is found in the middle course of the creek. Gold is reported to be evenly distributed in a continuous pay streak. Pebbles of vein quartz are abundant in gravel. Overburden is about 12 ft. thick. Area was prospected intermittently from 1910 to 1981.
