Deposit MOST OF GOLD PRODUCTION BEFORE WW II WAS FROM GRAVELS ON BEDROCK BENCHES. AFTER WW II MOST OF PRODUCTION WAS FROM WEST SIDE OF VALLEY BELOW MYERS FORK, 150-1,000 FT. FROM CREEK. GOLD ON SEVERAL BEDROCK SURFACES, MAINLY IN GRAVEL, BUT SOME ON BEDROCK AND IN CREVICES IN BEDROCK. SOME PIECES OF GOLD HAVE ATTACHED QUARTZ. SOME SCHEELITE WITH GOLD. OVERBURDEN 20-50 FT. THICK; 5-15 FT OF GRAVEL OVERLAIN BY MUCK. NEAR HEAD GOLD OCCURS IN THIN CALCITE VEINS ASSOCIATED WITH PYRITIFEROUS QUARTZ VEINS IN BLACK PHYLLITES.
