Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = Bedrock at the Sheridan Creek placer mine is mainly andesite tuffs and flows, and some basic intrusives. The gold is on bedrock and is accompanied by pyrite and magnetite in the concentrates. It assayed $19.20 an ounce (Harrington, 1919).
  • Age = Quaternary.
