Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = Christie (1974) reports a 3,000 by 1,000+ ft (900 by 300+ m), elongate to the northeast, color anomaly in volcanic rocks, mainly agglomerate and flows(?). Pyrite is disseminated and to a minor degree localized in fractures in the volcanic rocks. Maximum total sulfide content is 2 to 3 percent. No intrusive rocks were found.
  • Age = Pliocene or younger
