PRODUCTION CONTINUED HERE, ON A SMALL SCALE EVEN THROUGH THE LATE 1880'S WHEN MOST OTHER DISTRICT MINES WERE SHUT DOWN. ORE WAS TREATED IN A MILL 1/2 MILE N. OF THE WORKINGS, ORIG. EQUIPPED WITH 5 STAMPS AND LATER WITH 10 RECORDS OF EARLY PRODUCTION (1860'S TO 1905) IS FRAGMENTARY, BUT IT WAS ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT $500,000. WORTH ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT |
