Deposit | THIS IS ONE OF THE OLD CLAIMS OFF THE SOUTH END OF DUVAL'S COPPER CANYON OPEN PIT MINE, EAST ORE BODY. IN 1912 IT WAS DEVELOPED BY A NUMBER OF OPEN PITS AND SHORT TUNNELS ON A SERIES OF SHORT LENS-LIKE BODIES OF COPPER OXIDE ORE. A SMALL PRODUCTION DURING 1870'S OCCURRED, AND IN 1953, 136 TONS ORE WERE SHIPPED CONTAINING 0.01 OZ AU 0.79 OZ AG AND 4.52% CU. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT |
