Deposit VEINS RANGE IN THICKNESS FROM A FEW INCHES TO 10 FT THE LARGEST ORE SHOOT IS 30 FEET LONG AND WAS MINED 500 FT DOWNDIP
Deposit AN ENGLISH-OWNED COMPANY BEGAN MINING AT THE PITTSBURG AND BUILT A MILL IN THE CANYON BELOW THE MINE, CONNECTED TO IT BY A TRAMWAY. THE MILL OPERATED FROM 1887 TO 18919 IN 1904, THE PITTSBURG AND MORNING STAR MINES WERE CONSOLIDATED. MINES ARE DEVELOPED BY ABOUT 3 MILES OF INTERCONNECTED WORKINGS ON ( LEVELS, SPANNING 550 VERTICAL FEET IN THE PITTSBURG AND 925 VERT FEET IN THE MORNINGSTAR.
