- HOST ROCK FOR THE DEPOSIT IS A GRANDULAR, THINLY BEDDED BLACK QUARTZITE THAT STRIKES N5W, AND DIPS 30SW. TURQUOISE OCCURS IN A KAOLINIZED LAYER THAT MARKS A BEDDING PLANE FAULT.
