- SLAVEN CHERT IS HIGHLY ALTERED AND INTRUDED BY SEVERAL DIFFERENT ROCK TYPES INCLUDING: RHYOLITE DIKES, BRECCIA PIPES (?) AND QUARTZ VEINS. OPEN PIT MUST BE VERY CLOSE TO TERTIARY GRANITIC CONTACT ALTHOUGH IT WAS NOT OBSERVED IN THE PIT OR THE WALL ROCKS.
