  • ON A BRANCH OF EAST SUGAR LOAF CREEK. AT THIS POINT THE CREEK FOLLOWS A FAULT WHOSE SOUTH SIDE IS DOWNTHROWN 20 FEET. SITE IS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE FAULT AT A POINT ABOUT 180' FROM THE FAULT TRACE, AND 60' HIGHER THAN THE FAULT IN THE CREEK BED ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1969

  • GALENA IS UPPER MOST, IN THIN SHEETS, ONLY A FEW FEET BELOW THE SACCHOROIDOL SANDSTONE, AND SPHALERITE IS LOCATED BENEATH IT IN THE BRECCIATED ZONE. THERE IS A SMALL AMOUNT OF SMITHSONITE PRESENT. ORE IS VISIBLE IN ALL THE OPENINGS NEAR THE CREEK LEVEL.

  • MAIN DEVELOPMENT-TWO SHAFTS, 90 AND 45 FEET; ORE PRESENT ONLY IN TOP 18 FEET OF 90 FOOT SHAFT. TUNNEL OF 70' INTERSECTING SHAFT IN ORE ZONE CONTINUES INTO ORE ZONE PAST INTERSECTION FOR ABOUT 32 FEET; FOLLOWS A CAVERN FILLED WITH CLAY. FOUR SMALL OPEN CUTS ALSO PRESENT.
