Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = Host rock is alaskite (albite granite) of Tertiary age. Sulfides and cassiterite occur as disseminated grains and in greisen veinlets and stockworks in the granite. Fluorite occurs in veins in the granite as well. Thin sections indicate the granite in the zones of stockworks and veins has undergone several episodes of hydrothermal brecciation "&" alteration.

Deposit Other Comments = 200-2000 ppm Sn, 2.9-4.3 oz/ton Ag (Reed, 1978); up to 65 ppm Ag, 0.5 ppm Au, 328 ppm Pb, 720 ppm W, and >1.0% Zn in analyses of selected rock samples (Balen, 1990).
