  • OLD SHAFT NEAR BANK OF CREEK, AND AN OPEN QUARRY OR CUT IN BED OF CREEK 20'X12'; 4 FEET DEEP. SHAFT SAID TO PRODUCE NO ORE, BUT QUARRY PRODUCED A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF SPHALERITE & SMITHSONITE -8-10 TONS OF ORE WERE PRESENT ON THE DUMP IN THE YEAR 1900.
