  • U.S. Mercury Co. leases the N2SW4 and SW4 NE4 from thoe owner, Ozan-Graysonia Lumber Co. U.S. Mercury Co. also "acquired"(no mention if this is lease or ownership) of NW4SW4, owned by Lulu Bell. Ore discovered by Hintze who organized U.S. Mercury Co. (with associates Otto Hirsche, Irving Hirsche, and Clarence Hirsche). The Hirsches bout out Hintz in 1941 and made J.D. Feeman Superintendant (p. 205, bull. 936-H). H.C. Orton (Mid-American Resources, Inc.) acquired 1/2 interest in the property in 1941. The company is reorgnaized as U.S. Mercury Co.
