Comments on the geologic information

  • THIRTY SCATTERED BODIES OF NICKELIFEROUS LATERITE HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED IN THE WESTERN PORTION OF SOROAKO DEPOSIT AREA. THEY RANGE IN THICKNESS FROM 5 TO 40 METERS. AN AVERAGE PROFILE OF THESE BODIES CONSISTS OF 4 TO 6 METERS OF LOW GRADE LIMONITE WASTE, 4 METERS OF MEDIUM GRADE LIMONITE THAT IS BEING STOCKPILED FOR FUTURE USE, AND 5 METERS OR MORE OF SAPROLITE ORE. OVERBURDEN IS THICKER ON THE PLATEAU TO THE SOUTH.
