Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = Wilson and others (1988) describe this occurrence as a vertical, sericitically altered, zone containing abundant sulfides in volcaniclastic sandstone and siltstone (Wilson and others, 1988). The sedimentary rocks probably are part of the Paleocene to Eocene Tolstoi Formation (Wilson and others, 1995). Amygdaloidal andesite flows are also present in the area. One sample collected by the U.S. Geological Survey in the mid-1980's was reported to be anomalous in antimony, arsenic, barium, and zinc (Wilson and others, 1988).
  • Age = Tertiary.
